Introductory Post
Hello all! My name is Joe Greendyk, and I am a Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences major. I currently work a second shift sanitation job at a local food processing plant in Ada, Michigan. I'm taking this sequence because it was recommended to me by a sibling, and I find the history and culture of Latin America fascinating. I do not speak a foreign language, although my entire family is fluent in Spanish, making me the odd one out. I have traveled fairly regularly to Latin America, having made trips to Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru. I'm expecting this class to be a substantial amount of work, however I believe it will be very interesting. My only pet peeve in class is others making loud distractions that keep me from working, but other than that I'm pretty chill with whatever goes on...except presentations, because they make me nervous :) .
